Peter designs Sound Music Cities’ music ecosystem studies, including research, online surveys, data analysis, presentations and reports. He served on the host committee for the 2018 Collective Impact Forum Convening in Austin, TX and in 2017 authored a long-term commercial music industry plan for the City of Austin. He was for 14 years the executive-in-charge of all of Ray Benson’s holdings, including Asleep at the Wheel and Bismeaux Records, working on numerous projects with artists such as Willie Nelson and the 2015 GRAMMY-winning album 'Still The King.' He spent the 1990s performing with and managing Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, was a protégé of master Cajun fiddler Dewey Balfa, and collaborated with his father, Tracy Schwarz, of The New Lost City Ramblers. Schwarz is a graduate of Harvard College (BA) and the McCombs School of Business (MBA).
