Bobby is currently the General Manager for Transmission Events, and the Chair of Austin Music People’s Executive Committee, Austin's leader in music industry advocacy.

At Transmission Events, he is responsible strategic planning and day-to-day oversight for the company’s full range of services which includes: booking, backline, brand activations, production, location services, marketing, and social media services. One of the top volume producers of events in Texas, Transmission Events brought more than 800 shows, events and activations in 2015. Transmission is best known for booking quality shows at Austin’s best venues producing Austin’s best music discovery festival, Fun Fun Fun Fest.

Bobby is responsible for leading both overall strategy and policy direction/engagement with local elected officials for Austin Music People. AMP was formed to make the economic development of the Austin live music industry a priority for its political, civic, and cultural leaders, and to connecting and empowering Austin’s live music community by providing powerful advocacy tools, participating in policy development, and representing live music interests in public and private forums. AMP is an unprecedented alliance that includes some of Austin’s most successful entrepreneurs, as well as many midsize and small music businesses, professional musicians and artists, and devoted fans of Austin’s music scene.

Prior to working for Transmission Events, Bobby spent 15 years working for state and local governments focusing on public policy for elected officials across numerous policy areas. Most notably, he is the former Chief of Staff for Austin City Council Member Mike Martinez. Additionally, Bobby has been an active member of the music community as a musician.
