Music Cities Summit: Case Study

Inclusivity, Equity and Diversity in the Context of a Music City - How are we faring?

The Māori language and culture appears to be effortlessly incorporated into Auckland's UNESCO City of Music - Tāmaki Makaurau UNESCO Pā Puoro, as well as everyday conversation, the media and throughout the public sphere. How did they get here, what can we learn and how are they faring? The story from Auckland is far more complex than it appears. Stand Up For Your Rights This panel* will discuss how music cities can be inclusive music cities and will help you lead more equitably and help contribute towards building and sustaining an inclusive community. * = The perspective of the panel does not represent the views of everyone, nor does the panel include all voices and identities that face different systems of oppression.
